roundcube Very good commentary even though there were some tough spots.
thedarknight1 This was a really nice video... gg
simon2312 really really liked the video, more interesting spots in one video than in the past 3 I've seen.

although, I think you should maybe restrict your play to 4 tables w/o any off screen as its tough to keep up with the live comments.

9/10
Beans Gold!!!
emesiar Great, great video.

In the final hand where you called down with AK - you mention that he has KQ, JQ type hands. Do you really think he he those in his range for calling 4b oop versus you given the action & what happened in the previous hand where you 5b / got it in vs his AJ? And given that he barrels turn after you call flop.
nuvan I chuckled at the AA hand sqz 3 callers, facing 4 bet and min 5 bet, you jam and he calls.
Nonetheless great vid.
lancelott_ very nice to have you on leggo Danny
thx, more vids like this one
somebody from leggo founders should give a cookie to this guy
Shaitan whats wrong with your squeeze size with the AA? 16 to 72 after 2 callers looks good to me. How much smaller do you want to go?

if you were 100bbe i could see merit in making it smaller, but deeper i always start sizing bigger OOP.
The_End Thanks for the kind comments guys, much appreciated.

@Simon: I'll keep that in mind for the next time, thansk

@Emesiar: At the time of playing I was very certain of my read. I honestly did not see any reason for him to have a big hand and lead there, so I really felt he was gonna flip over QJ or KQ. If I had to guess i wouldve said KQ cause that's a hand he can't really c/c with unlike QJ. Or just some random spazz, but def. did not expect a valuehand, especially because of the AJ hand.

@Shaitan: You're right, it's not so big at all after I look at it again. It's just a squeezespot that rarely occurs with those preflop raise sizes and calls. I remember in the vid looking at it from a balancing point of view, so it looked so big as a bluff.
bugsycarrot Great vid man! I felt like you made this video especially for me. You touched on a few very valuable points.

1) You mentioned players that struggle to move from 2/4 to 5/10 (me) have incorrect frequencies. What do you think is the best way to learn/adjust/improve your frequencies for 5/10?

I feel that I have a pretty good feel for ppl's bluffing frequencies and the lines they take at 2/4. But when I shot take at 5/10, I have absolutely no idea, and I tend to adjust by being overly aggro (ie dramatically increase my bluffing frequencies) and before I know it, i'm down 20buyins.

2) Once you signal to your opponent that you have a bluff catcher, you need to identify whether your opponent is the type to try his hardest to bluff you or the type to give up more often.

I feel like at 2/4, more ppl actually try their best to bluff you off your bluff catcher. However when I'm shot taking at 5/10, I feel like I often put myself into a bluff catching situation when I am unsure of ppl's frequencies so I tend to make alot of mistakes. So my question is, how would you make the proper adjustment? ie avoid putting yourself in bluff catching situations? initially, using some of ur stronger hands as bluff catchers. I mean just imagine yourself taking shot at 25/50+.

Once again, great video keep up the good work!
The_End 1) I am struggling with my frequencies sometimes as well, usually it's a result of running good/bad or when I haven't played in a while. Even though most of the plays will be good in a vacuum, sometimes it is terrible considering the gameflow.

As to adjusting your frequencies to 5/10... The biggest advice I can give you is probably not to adjust at all. Just play your 2/4 game which has gotten you to the point you're at now. Think clearly on the river whether you're justifying a call because it's 5/10, or because it's actually a call. If it's really close there's no shame in potentially giving up a small edge and going for the fold when you're taking a shot. After a while you'll have a better grasp of players freqs. just by playing more hands with em.

2)
Interesting and tough question to answer. Sometimes it just becomes a leveling war. A question you can ask yourself to try and make the best decision is: 'Is my hand almost always a bluffcatcher in this spot, or is it quite likely I have a relatively strong hand that I decided to balance with?' The more often you have a hand he expects you to call down with, obviously, the more often you should fold to a bet. It's simple reasoning but often overlooked.

You could also indeed try and avoid putting yourself in that spot and barrel through if you're OOP. I only like this if chances that he has a better hand that he can fold are there and a draw so he could also call with worse. (The classic merge, make him fold better and call with worse)

Using stronger hands as bluff catcher is an okay adjustment, just be wary that you bluffcatching makes Villains life easier in a bunch of spots (he is the aggressor now and can potcontrol or w/e) and makes your barrelrange more bluffheavy, so use it sparringly.

As you can see I don't have a true answer or solution to the problem on how you can get the perfect frequencies. If i did I'd pbb be playing railheaven right now. I do hope that my answer will help you a bit and help you get enough experience on 5/10 to the point where you feel quite comfortable about your own and other people's frequencies.
Probability AQ hand is pretty interesting. I was just reading an over bet thread on 2p2 so it was cool to see. Pretty sure this is ur best video ever.
bugsycarrot Really appreciate you taking the time to respond to my questions. And I am very satisfied with the answers you've given. And agree with probability's comment on 'this is your best video'.

Keep up the great work. Looking forward to your next vid!!!
Basti i really like ur Holdem Manager HUD Setup...

it would be great if u could upload that somehow
The_End Voilą ;)
sh58 very entertaining video. what is it with the people playing that day, just going insane.

i thought you handled yourself well, until the AK calldown that i don't like. i don't see any merit to it in any way. you didn't provide any reasoning about it either
The_End People seemed to be crazy idd, but that happens a lot it seems on 2/4 (at least in my experience)
I thought I provided reasoning behind it in the vid. Here's what I was thinking:
It just does not make any sense for him to ever be leading a valuehand there. I backraised preflop, so that's either total air or a random made nuthand or overpair that will bet 3streets regardless pretty much. He can't expect me to call him down on 3 streets with AK high, cause noone would do that. Given my range, a lead there is just not gonna be the best play, even if it worked out for him this time. It's not like I would backraise JJ/TT or check down QQ, so he's not gaining any value by leading

Also, given our history, I was really really surprised he slowplayed a big hand preflop. At the time in the hand (not in hindsight obv) I felt like his range would be superheavily weighted towards broadways that squoze but couldn't ship so he flatted the backraise to try and flop something or do something crazy post. Hands I mentioned were things like KQ,AJ etc.

If I would play the exact same hand again, against someone who never read this thread/saw the hand etc., I would probably just call down again... I was really confident in this spot and I honestly do believe he is gonna show a bluff often enough, even though I ran into KK this time
Basti when im trying to download it its not working and i get this error msg
