At age 22, craigthedeac boasts a high education in both NLHE and PLO, and currently plays at the $5/$10 and $10/$20 stakes. Of course, not mentioning Craig’s tournament success would be a large injustice. Helped by a background in SNGs, Craig finished 55th in the 2009 WSOP Main Event for $108,047, chopped an FTOPS for $100,895, won the PokerStars Sunday Second Chance for $53,500, the WCOOP 6-max Second Chance for $18,500, and several other first place finishes for 5 figure scores.

His poker roots began by dabbling in small stakes home games with friends, until PartyPoker offered a $50 no deposit registration bonus. He glided along until he found the 2+2 forums, and his game took off. After Greg introduced Craig to NLHE, Craig’s poker prowess reached new heights, especially with the coaching he received from KRANTZ, and today he has cemented his place in HSNL.

Coaching

I've been coaching for a couple years now and have helped many students move from the micros into MSNL. The student-coach relationship is extremely important, so if we don't click, I will not only encourage you to look elsewhere, but I will assist you in the process of finding you the right coach. I don't coach for the money; my hourly at the tables is higher. I coach because I enjoy seeing my students develop as I once did.

I recommend lessons of 1.5-2 hours in length. What we do in those sessions is ultimately up to you. What I have found to be successful is starting with roughly 15 minutes of hand history review. Then, I will usually "sweat" you (look at your screen using software while talking with you on a microphone through Skype) for an hour or so. I will give you advice on the hands, general concepts, and field any questions you may have during this time. I like to save around 15 minutes at the end of the lesson for review. That's where we will further analyze some of the big hands from the session and review important lessons from the day's play. If you would prefer to structure the lessons differently, no problem, that’s just what I’ve typically done and it seems to work well.

I've been coached in the past and still receive occasional coaching. I am familiar with some of the problems between coaches and students. I am professional, I will treat you with the same respect that you would see a client given in the real world. This means promptness and excellent communication on my end. I also encourage you to talk with me and ask questions outside of lessons; you won't ever feel like you're "on the clock."

If you have any questions or would like to contact a reference, feel free to email me at: craigthedeac@leggopoker.com. I look forward to working with you!
