Isura got his start in poker the way many did - via a small deposit onto PartyPoker. Specifically, a $50 stab into .5/$1 LHE which paved the way into his bankroll today. In fact, many would say it would be impossible for Isura not to succeed, as his blog posts on theory are some of the most throughout and mind opening as any out there.
Isura is very in tune with his overall risk, and is not concerned with his conservative bankroll management. At a comfortable level of $1/$2NL-$3/$6NL, he is able to make low variance and low risk money.
One of the obstacles Isura had to hop over was improving his game to appreciate the math aspect of poker. With the ability to identify the important aspects of any venture, it would not be surprising to spot Isura in the financial world a few years from now, plugging away as an analyst for a bank or hedge fund.

A poker coach has multiple roles: a professor (teach technical knowledge), a tutor (teach the thought process), and a mentor (improve confidence and intangible poker skills). My coaching program teaches technical knowledge through prepared theory lectures, imparts my thought process through hand history discussions, and improves intangible poker skills through live sweating.
Theory lectures and hand analysis are done over Skype. Sweating is done via Skype and Teamviewer. Intangible poker skills are things such as observing the 'right' things at the table, understanding your image, and other metagame considerations. I've found that these concepts are best taught through live sweating. I recommend that most $200 NL and lower players start with my theory course. There is time in each lesson to discuss hands. Experienced $200 NL or $400 NL players should start with the two hour sessions, of sweating followed by a session review. I first watch you play and then we go through the session in PokerTracker as I discuss the hands in more detail.
