Cero Zuccarello has had a variety of jobs including (but not limited to) managing video stores and driving a truck for Easter Seals. His college profile is equally diversified with majors ranging from Psych, Poli-Sci, and Journalism. Online Cero plays just about any game including NLHE, PLO, and HORSE and currently plays limits from 400 – 1000NL. Cero struggles with maintaining a solid bankroll and dealing with the swings that accompany poker. In his own words, “the biggest challenge for me in poker has been dealing with my own tendency to destroy my roll. I’ve been up and down the ladder more times than I like to remember and it has to do with a general lack of discipline and impatience when it comes to moving up, and some tilt issues. Of late, I’m handling this better, and have become content with the slow climb that comes with working light hours and keeping risks small, due to having a family to support. Balancing family life and responsibilities with poker ambition is also an ever-present challenge for me.”
Cero lists his biggest influences as Two Plus Two book and forums, Mike Caro’s books on tells, and conversations with friends including; Sunny Mehta, Matt Hart, Russ Buffiou, Matt Flynn, Phil Galfond, and Will Durkee as well as others. Cero sees himself pretty much where he is now in the future; playing 2000NL and higher, 50/100LHE, occasional live tournaments, and leading a balanced life that allows time for family and his four -year-old son.
