whilst writing this KQ shoves into my AA and flop comes 22Q Q. then same guy shoves QJ into AK and flops strt. Iv been one outed twice today and flopped 1044 with 10s and ended up losing to AQ. What a sh*t weekend. (sorry had to vent that, damn donkaments)
Firstly I should have gone to budapest for the weekend. being a gambler I waited to see if the flights would go back down as Im a cheapass. They didnt but on friday morning I thought f*ck it and rang around to get a lift to the airport, get home from uni to buy tickets and a msg pops up saying youve gotta check in online 4hours before flight so that thwarted that.

I dropped my laptop on the floor* a few months ago and its been pretty sketchy since as the screen would flicker every now and then, well I think its finally had it so no HM for me until its fixed. which is quite annoying as I cant show the sickness thats happedned to me this wknd. Iv had some absolute stinkers! I also called a guy down with J high when i missed an OE and FD on a 3c5c6sQs6c board. he had 78 and commented "did you really just call me with jack high" to which I replied "owned". To which FTP replied with giving me underset with 33 on 345 which was nice.

*Fell down stairs with it when blind drunk much to the amusement of one of my housemates.

On thurday night I played a home game which got out of hand by 4am. I grinded my 400 for a few hours and when wining a bit I scooped a 2.3k pot in double flop when my nut strt held and 2nd NFD +GS hit the off suit 6 on other board (FD was good). (actually someone else had the JQ strt so I won 3/4)I sit on it not gambling until I pick up NFD w/ GS and complete wrap on a rainbow. biggest AI is ~550 so I only have to beat marco on one board to get most of my ££ back. I turn strt and he hit runner flush. I brick the NFD with TP and 5 kickers v the mighty 2pair of 56. Then I take a flip with marco for 1k. Im an idiot. I dont need to gamble with him, I had AK10988 tripple suited in DBL flop and He repots to ~350. I tank and flat. flop comes AKx 2hearts and 223os.He ships and obv has found AA. I think part of the reason I gambled was b/c it was all profit but im an idiot and got greedy. Just like in garys club where I called 3.3k with a non nut hand b/c it was profit. I leave winning ~400 and extremely annoyed. I should have just played straight thru to my seminar at 9am b/c a lot of money just got pulled up to the table as a few tighter players had busted and the looser, albeit better players took their seats, and I had pretty great position on the action and wasnt in deep.

On friday night Id agreed do sell 20% of myself for a dozen comps. I didnt cash in one! WTF!
Good news is iv confirmed deets for walsall and am in the 300/250PLO/1k m/e and any other smaller sides if i want. With the view of this being in place for the rest of the tour/year. Im remaining sceptical until im actually bought in though.

By the end of the night the beats had started to affect me but I managed to bink 5th place in the turbo fiddy for ~1500 to put me up a couple of bucks.

saturday I crawl outa bed and start banging out the satties to the 2.5k. I only bink 2seats. then my housemate comes in and annoys the fuck out me! why arent you doing washing up blah blah blah, erm cus im playing 2.5k event f*ck off. ok give me my laptop back then.... very very tilting. but I shouldnt be a c*nt as I am using his laptop and hes probably pretty board. I keep my rag with him but it really fkin p*ssed me off.

I played a hell of a lot more comps than these and by the end id just had enough.
the PLO HU was a joke. I crushed the first guy. then kept getting the 2nd guy down to 500 and couldnt finish the job, he kept sucking out and final hand I had bottompair with complete wrap and FD v his NFD and he couldnt hit his 3 or 7 as the filled my wrap. he hit A sigh. and he was awful, he called me with the 10 on a 102226 board LOL. I also brought slav into the m/e and he amassed a 50k stack but busted ak into 88 for 80k pot with 1k ppl left. was looking forward to a deep run in that oh well.
Im down about $400 for the wknd on FTP inc staking and £400 on stars which is a joke as Iv cashed about 6-7k in tournament dollars.

Im going to be playing live for the rest of the forthcoming week and I need to reread my goals for the year and focus on what I want to do, but playing well over 100MTTs in a weekend isnt something im going to be repeating anytime soon especially with no trophy binkage to round it off.

So ive had another wild ride in the last week or so. Monday night I organise another 300 sitdown. IN the first round I stack off w/ K9 on a 975ss board. I cbet IP and john just over min raises me. I tank for ages and commit 3/4 of my stack figuring his range is any pair + redraw he tanks for so long Im confident that iv made the correct decision. he puts in like an extra £50 nd we run it turn 6 river 8 strt on the board. If I was behind I think im alright now. pockets 10's doesnt think so! that actually shocked me when he turned his cards over and he was good on the flop LOL.
Alistair straddles I bump it with 10 4 he min rasies pre with AA. Q107 he cebts I call turn 4 he puts half his stack in A ship he calls and sighs. river brings no pain.

He want to run it twice and from what hes saying he had FD and strt draw so I figure I have blockers with A and 6 and have his FD dead. He reluctantly calls with K9s and 43. river is a 3 for 2 pair. good by all my profit. hello tilt for ftops. I donk it with 108 when top pair turns into trips v a flopped strt then 99 into AA when I knew he had it. played a few more comps on ft and went deep in the 50/50 I won ALOT of races. not more than 10. I did crack AA with Q3o AIPF on last two tables though. cheeky fucker shouldnt time down after iv 3 bet half his stack. flop was complete brick followed by 3. Q. f**cking sick stuff. I did get my AA cracked by A8 a few hands later though. then I won a 3way all in with AK v At v QQ. I flatted QQ's raise from SB to control pot and BB shipped with A10. 10 high flop. K on river GG a10. props to QQ cant remeber your sn off top of my head but im sure well meet up in vegas.

vicky was away so I basically spent every waking hour in the casino, except for watching villa tottenham on www.iraqigoals.net unfortunatley the streaming wasnt particularly good when playing 4 tables. Why couldnt we nab a late winner when man city had lost wed have been sorted! Friday night there some pissed up irish guys on the table, one was decent and i made a rash judgement on his first hand after he 3bet my button raise. If hed just thrown his chips in ida folded. but I heard he was irish and thought to myself he probably thinks im some young punk button raising so I call flop a pair and GS w/ 107 and shove over his cbet. his qq holds. the other irish guy did his brains to begin with before hittting every card under the sun. It was pretty hilarious at how bad his calls were but I wasnt foolish enough to get involved with him unless id made huge raises pre on on the flop/turn. Played my KK a little too strong pre as we were both ~700+ deep and I ship a shortstack (100BB) calls with KQ and i flop topset. wish id only made 100BB instead of 700 meh. In other news Iv got a backer for the ftops which could be pretty sick as its at least 12.5K in buyins with 1R1A in the R events, he wants me to go for the 1m bonus, so definatey playing the first 10 events and If im playing well and running good I could get a pretty meaningful bankroll together, will spk to him later to confirm the details but im 99% certain we gotta a deal. Iv looked at it and one problem is theres 3 comps on valentines day, the other is it may kill me to play from 7pm/2am go deep (final table finishing around 2pm) get up and be prepared by 7pm. rinse repeat for 20 days.

Im not very happy with january my results were pretty shit tbh. Im not happy with the way Iv played or with my lifestyle.
I havent really got on to my timetable however I have started attending a few of my lectures and eating fairly healthily until this past week. I didnt have fast food once in january, actually I had a dominoes one night and we've been cooking pretty decent meals most nights.
I actually attended a footbal match although I didnt play. Thats as far as Iv got with exercise, Havent joined a gym yet. My housemate wants to start boxing and he actually follows through when he gets ideas like that so I think ill do that with him as it shoud be a good laugh and Id love to knock him the f**k out lol.
Online I played ~30k hands at 50NL all 6max and went from winning 17Bi to -6. I thought I was running AK into AA alot AIPF yet havent seen many regs stacking off in the same manner, so maybe im overplaying it preflop? Guess I should start watching more vids. I also feel like Im struggling to play pocket pairs . Live I would just flat call to try and spike a set in a multiway flop. Im not not sure I like the idea of opening with a PSB b/c then the blinds dont get caught up with their junk. When I get RR I dont like surrendering the hand post flop as its 50/50 as to whether they have a bigger pair or have missed.
I havent been watching many vids this month, but are there any that you could recomend that go into more detail about PP's postflop?
I was 8 tabling for about 20k hands and wasnt taking full advantage of the HUD's and habbits of different players. When I dropped down to 4 tables I started to kill it again but 4 tabling 50nl wont get me anywhere near the amount of ipoints I need to get an irish open package so I started table selecting on 200nl and inevitably variance has kicked me in the crotch again. set into set vs a guy whos losing over a $/hand over 30k hands.. then flopping 2 pair vs flopped strts against the same fish on 2 tables simultaneously
I think i will continue on 200nl even though im so underrolled for it b/c it seems a lot looser than 50NL which seems to be full of grinders trying to step up. I dont think real people who work sit down and load up a couple of 50NL tables as the money doesnt really mean anything. 1/2 is more like the stakes people play live and Iv found a couple of absolute droolers on 200nl.
I feel like my head has been fried and that im on constant tilt right now. I very aggrevated when I lose a pot and havent really enjoyed playing. which means that I am on super super tilt as I rarely get annoyed by beats I just shrug em off and say nh. which brings me to live games
I cashed out over £5000 from 1/1 and 1/2 games however im only 1k up. Iv had some real retarded nights. The night after my inspection I did ~1400 just getting it in pre in 6cardPLO then the next night i drooled ~500 on 1/1 texas. If I had been using my 2BI rule I would have saved at least 2.5k in january and 800 so far this month.
One hand that really annoyed me was this: I cant remeber the hand! My recall used to be amazing. I would come home and go through every pot to see how I could play it better remembering every bet size and everyones manerisms.
I basically had K2d the board was 8high with 2hearts 2 diamonds on turn and I bet a girl flats me as does a pisshead called ben. River is a brick and i VBB £22 and she tanks and calls. Now I only bet b/c I know bens game inside out and I think has missed a straight draw and I sense weakness and reraise. I figure that maggie isnt good enought to figure this out and will fold her pair meaning that my K high wins.
Ben tanks for about 5 minutes. Im not even lying it was f**cking ages. So long that some people had got up and walked off and everyone else was chatting about other things, including myself. He finally shoves and I mishappedly insta muck realising what iv done just after! He rolls over 9 high or osme garbage like that and it ultra tilts me. Ive had 2hands with him before that have been so sick.

1 I called him pre w/ 910o b/c he had been making stupid raises with small cards pre and I call 2 barrels w/ 10 high thinking he has a low gutshot draw. River is a 4 and out of frustraion I set him in for his last £50 into a ~300 pot. He hero calls with 94 for one pair and bangs on about how greata call it was missing the point that I called him down w/ 10high. My ego basically cost me the pot hear. I should shove the turn and just take it down but I wanted to be cocky and check call his river bet with 10high when the brick lands on the river. I wanted to see any card other than a 4 or 5 and was ridicilously disgusted when a 4 dropped.
2. I have 97 for no pair no draw on the flop and I check to him. He bets £20 I think hes weak and raise another 60. He thinks and calls. O nthe turn I ship and he goes " ah rob Iv picked up a gutshot now and have to call." he rolls over 72o and misses leaving 9 high to scoop the pot.

I then didnt play for the rest of the week and then lost 1100 on following tuesday. This was the 104 v QQ night and then lost ~2k pot in 6card doubleflop plo.
I play every night after that and win ~ 400 each night and go down the casino after a very frustratiing saturday night online. Qualifier for the irish deepstack 10packages 20 left. Which reminds me I want ed to blog this a week ago. I min cash in the 100 deepstack after runnign 10s in to AA from sb after a button raise into BB's AA.

I hadnt played a hand for about 6levels and the last one I was going to play was J7spades fro mthe BB when I was getting insane odds to call a minraise but opted to fold and would flop 2 pair and win a big pot..
Anyway after sitting at 200nl for a quick 90mins I was gifted about 4BI when vicky got back from her friends so I sat out. I fire up again about 8pm and get slapped with ugly situations and lose all the money id be gifted earlier. Having had enough of online after busting 14th in the 100...

how did it go so bad? On tuesday I had an exam. I smashed it. +1. Well I might have done one question wrong and didnt have time to change it when I looked back. The f**king bus was 20mins late which made me last for exam ffs. Annoying and defo put me on tilt or off balance for the start. Iv definately passed even if I did get it wrong so I came out of the exam flying for possibly the first time ever. It makes me want to smash the others in may b/c its a good feeling rather than well that wasnt so bad I might scrape the 40% in that...
I think I havent played a donkament for a while ill have a crack at £30 for a laugh and just 3/4bet everyone for fun. I get kk on25/50 and make it 525 ugt+1. 3 callers and a 3bet of 2k more from an old guy. smells like AA but I figure that the arab whos flatted has AJ/AT b/c he didnt want to call and didnt want to fold for 525 aka 10xBB. Stereotypically I find that most of the iraqis/iranians I play with are acehuggers so I defo put him on AJish. Anyway Im not folding KK pre in that spot so I ship and JJ calls lol. ppl just give me chips then I get called down by a gutshot which hits. I river 2pair w/ Q4 and he says Iv hit it. hit what? the 4? yes straight. LOLaments. then same doughnut calls me down with 88 on q6698 board. On river I think for ages before betting b/c i feel he had 77-JJ but bet/call which annoyed the flas outa me as I should have just mucked face up when river dropped for sickness/look like a cock when he has 1010. I bubble 8th for my money back. SWEET. 1k for 1st with ridicilous blinds. I move to a 1/1 cash table (dc was full) where good friend jimmy is sat.
Jimmy is quite the character, when I first started playing he was there every night either doing his brains on roulette but winning in cashgames. I was shocked to find out he was a lecturer of genetics at uni, he went in about 1hr a week lol. Anyway he has quite a temper and is really easy to rile which is awesome fun b/c hes harmless.
I start trying to get ppl to straddle and he starts to go clean off at me b/c im a idiot and ill just shove pre when theres loads of money in the pot from straddles. So im like thats it im winding him up. mission achieved by the next hand where im in BB w/ 24o see a free flop of 644 SB min bets, I min raise jimmy RR. I look at him pull a face and slam all chips in the pot befor its on him hes put his stack in with a flush draw. only 10x the pot. I slam my 4 down and he catches the river. LOL. Then I flop 2pair w/ k6h turn gives me BDFD and I get it all in vs 88. he ovb hits the off suit case 8. CHIPS. I re re straddle. SB is decent, well average but decent for the table. 2.5x so call with 910 A910 he bets half pot so I think hell reckon im steaming so I ship for 5x his raise. He says I know ud 3bet me with a bigger ace. I think to myself I wouldnt Id play it the same way as this hand b/c youll stack off with a6. he does stack off with a6 and river 6 lol.

Now the best hand of the year thus far. dan limps (a6 guy) I look down at 10 4o and make it 12. one caller. dan makes it 35 more. seems pretty stong. but is he strong enough to call this. 360. I dont care if he is strong enough his QQ is having it on a 9 10 4 flop BOOM! LOOL his head was spinning. It was beautiful.

I was going to pot it but if I do that then I commit emads stack which was about 900 at start of hand so I just set the muppet in for ~200 more into 300 pot, then I have positon and can ship if emad checks to me and its not terrible flops for me. the fish tanks for ages which confirms that he tried to squeeze and everyone calls. flops Jd6d4c and 8c4h3s. I have Qhigh diamond draw with Ac2c567. emad speaks first. All in. fucks sake. I have to hope my diamonds are live which is unlikely but as I can scoope both im in. turn gives me back door clubs on one but river bricks all my draw on both (Q flush would have been good) and I lose ~2.5kpot. Tueday night were meant to be my cash cow/ only lose 2/3 BI from now on. Instead ive done 2k and 1k on the last 2 SIGH. this fucked up my week as I wanted to go win it back. I made 400 on wed. 300 thurs. 400 fri and last night i didnt play cus I was online then went out.

I have played pretty poorly and just went mad on one table in last session I played where I kept 4betting ridicilously loose players and the had the goods in cutoff vs button and button v sb situations. also found a few fish and they keen running ridic well vs me. so well below ai ev atm. but if you play bad u deserve to loose even if u are running bad. so I guess I deserve to be losing this month but if I cant start playing well consistently I dont know what im gonna do. before playing live a few nights Iv tried some donkaments online and they have been pretty frustating.

So last tuesday I had a council inspection to make sure my house was fit for renting. This process started with an assessment in oct '06 and the last time Id heard from them was in January '08 where he did a similar inspection to sign me off as a fully licensed HMO (house of multiple occupation). Iv spent about £10k doing various health and saftey regulations (firedoors, alarm system, overboarding the floors) and also countless hours of my time. Basically in Jan 08 there were a few things I still needed to complete like moving a door round so it opens inwards and hed send me the 'snag list' via email. Well he never got back to me and im not chasing him up over stupid bs like that so he emails me outa the blue in dec to say hell be round on tuesday. He comes takes one look at my attic room and asks why is this being rented? The staicase does not comply with regs b/c its too narrow then he looks round and gets irritated that I havent done the remaining works, I say he didnt get back to me and dont know about half of this stuff. He also wants me to move the consumer unit from cellar to hallway which will also be pretty costly. MEH.
Basically if I cant rent out the 5th room then £3k a year off not rent meaning it and it will take about 5years to get my money back off the works instead of 2. Not only that the works Iv had done havent really added much value to the house b/c the markets gone down the shitter. WHAT A BITCH! No worries I had no intention of selling the house anyway whilst the markets so terrible, its actually great for me because the interest rates have pushed my mortgage down from 780 to 320 per month. It was making 5k a year and I dont pay any rent myself. And when Iv cleared the mortgage I make about 12k a year or 15k if i rent my room as well. However If i can only rent 4 rooms out its been a bit of a waste of time. So iv basically spent the last few days trawling though all the documents Iv received and all the stuff on the net about the housing act and HMOs ect and written a pretty convincing arguement which will hopefully clear everything up in my favour.

After the meeting on tues I was pretty tilted by the time I went to play poker. There wasnt a texas game running so I jumped onto dc straight away. Usually I like to go make 500-1k playing the 1/1 NLH form 10-2ish then move to DC and have a spin with a bit of my profit but this week I jus twent bonnkers and kept reraising pre and getting it all in in 6card. Lost about £1350 500 on last hand in a 3way flip AIPF PLO8 I had A24TTQ tripple suited with all my flush draws live and didnt hit a thing. there was about a 500 side pot betwen Roberto and I but he rivered a house to scoop and that was me done.
Wed I was still real tilted so I didnt play online, even though the private cash game was on, I did have ppl keeping an eye on it for me but I wasnt jucy so I went down to casino to take down the mickey mouse tournament to recvoer a bit for yesterday. No 3 paid I got tilted and came 5th when I knew my ace was leading pre after a guy limped. I called just over half his stack with k8 SOOTED WP. then I got 3bet by alistair AGAIN and lost my rag getting about 2-1, I knew I was crushed A8 v AK. My BB was next, im unhappy with how I played. On that table I should fold and my chips in first and ppl are waiting to cash. I also let alistair run me over which no ones done in a while, he defo had my number that night. Moved to a cash table lost 600 on like the softest game ever. Al 3 outed me AIPF A7v 97 then floated me on 2 streets with Q4 A964Q good of him to chk river to me it was a 4th spade though lol.
Since then Iv played one session online cause Iv been with vicky all wknd, played like a madman and stacked off ridic easy 3 times, then vicky got back from town so I sat out, good job probably. Down to 26 BI on 50 NL so dropped~10BI last week which isnt good. want to get upto 48 to step up to 100nl which I feel I need to do by 10Feb if im going to clear enough rake to go to Irish open. Already booked flights so Im commited to going and playing cash otherwise, dont really want to sell action but ill see how im doing at the time. So I reckon an easy 40 sessions in 23days to make 22 BI. then 50ish days to do 140 sessions at 100nl, or 60 @ 100 and 40 @200nl If im rolled up soon enough.
Oh finally I have an exam 2moro morning. Coursework due in for tuesady 26th and the deadline for the remaing works on house for 4th of Feb so Im going to be a busy boy.
I want to go to the irish deepstack that wknd aswell. it only 550euro buyin and u get 50k stack its sold out so ill have to try qualifing online.
Sometime in Feb I wanted to get out to Italy for a week/10days to go skiing and its another mates bday on the wknd 19-22nd and theres a loada ppl going to budapest for it which will be mad Ill also have another coursework to do so i need to get my grind on and get it effective. NO MORE SPEWS. its all about stepping up as soon as possible.
